The microphone, owned by The Wave audio production company in Sin City, was easily identified by the "MAIN" tape at the bottom. Despite the toss, the mic is still functional. Scott Fisher, the company owner, decided to auction it off on eBay with a starting bid of $500.
The mic's original cost was $1,000, making the winning bid particularly interesting to watch. The proceeds from the sale will be split between two charities, the Wounded Warrior Project and Friendship Circle Las Vegas, which benefits teens and young adults with special needs. Cardi B's microphone toss went viral, leading to her being listed as a suspect for battery after a woman reported being struck by it.
