The latter, who famously donated a kidney to Selena due to her lupus diagnosis, addressed the speculation in an interview published on August 1st. Speaking on Josh Peck's "Good Guys" podcast, Francia remarked, "When I thought about being in the press, I never anticipated it would be like this. I always viewed it from an actor's perspective."
She then delved into their decision to share their story publicly years ago, particularly the kidney donation. "The media got hold of the story, and we wanted to share it. But as for recent events... can anyone really prepare you for this? Never. We're never ready for this kind of thing. It consistently catches me off guard," Francia reflected.
